About The Project
"Every artist was first an amateur.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
A students arts award to support young talent and encourage them to follow their passion and make a career out of being an artist
KCT Group Trust’s commitment to the arts and arts education in India, resulted in a partnership between the KCT Group Trust and The Sculpture Park at Madhavendra Palace, to create a student art award in Jaipur, one of India’s leading art and design hubs. The awards aim to highlight emerging young talent in Rajasthan while encouraging young adults to follow their passion and make a career out of being an artist. KCTGT wants to nurture and support the art system in the country so that artists can find a platform to showcase their work.
The awards were given to students studying the field of art and design in three categories with a cash prize for winners and runners up in each category. An exhibition of the selected works alongside an announcement of awardees was held at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur on 11 December 2019.
