Kashvi

Educating girls for empowerment and success

About the Project

Geared to ensure that girls between the ages of 14-24 years receive an education irrespective of age, income level or geographic location.

Studies through the years have shown how girls, specifically from rural and low-income groups in India have a much higher dropout rate from schools than boys. The Kashvi Learning Centers focus on enabling such girls to empower themselves with education and attain a stronger sense of identity, agency and professional competence. We ran ur the pilot program in Chembur, Mumbai with the vision to equip young girls with agency to be able to make choices for themselves, even in difficult and discriminatory situation.

Integrated Identity, enabling them to understand themselves in relation to the world around

21st Century Competencies equipping them to be able to deploy critical thinking, creativity and communications for financial security.
